MILITARY TRIBUTE BANNERS

APRIL-MAY 2021 & OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2021

The Highland Downtown Development Authority is partnering with Military Tribute Banners as a way to honor our veterans and active military. The banners will be on display along Milford and Livingston Roads in the Highland Station District, April-May 2021 AND October-November 2021. (Exact dates subject to change).

Once the program is completed the honoree or their family on behalf of the family or community/ sponsor will be returned the banner as a grateful "Thank You". Banner sponsors can have their name clearly displayed on the bottom of the banner as the proud sponsor (no logos) Banner cost is $200.00 each. If you have sponsored a banner in years past you may have it hung again for the 2021 year with a one time fee of only $100.00 (this helps cover the cost of installation and take down.)

Please visit the Military Tribute Banners Highland Page for ordering information. To learn more Visitors can go directly to the Sponsorship Submission Form where they can upload their honoree's photo, military information, etc. Checks can be made payable to the Highland Downtown Development Authority (HDDA). The online form offers scanning tips to help obtain the best image resolution for their Military Tribute Banner.

RED WHITE & BLUES FESTIVAL

RED WHITE AND BLUES

Saturday September 4th 2021

The fireworks will be launched at dusk on September 4th (rain date is Sept 5th) from the field at the corner of M-59 and John Street. Due to construction this year, there will be no parking available at the elementary school. We encourage residents to park in a legal place or consider walking to the field taking care to avoid traffic. Many people have enjoyed watching the fireworks from the Save-a-Lot Plaza, 722 Highland Rd, in Highland. So, all of the festival activities are being held at that location. There will be children's activities, food and craft vendors, and music in the parking lot at the shopping center. Come out early to enjoy the food, fun, music, and shopping! Event hours: 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm. See you there!
