This holiday season, a little Scandinavian-inspired magic is coming to Downtown Highland!
Our winter Ladies Night Out theme, Gnome for the Holidays, takes its inspiration from the nisse — the charming little gnome of Scandinavian folklore traditionally believed to watch over the home, farm, and family. Known for their helpful nature, mischievous spirit, and love of simple holiday traditions, these little guardians are the perfect companions for a cozy night of shopping, dining, and seasonal fun.
As you make your way through Downtown Highland, keep an eye out for festive gnomes, cheerful surprises, special giveaways, and plenty of holiday spirit along the way.
So grab your friends, bundle up, and come celebrate the season with us. You never know what kind of gnome-made magic you may find!
How the Night Works
Begin your evening at the HVA Welcome Center, where you’ll check in and get everything you need to start your night downtown.
We’re also asking guests to help us spread a little holiday cheer beyond Downtown Highland. Bring canned or nonperishable food items or a cash donation to help those in need this holiday season. Your donation will also earn you an entry for the chance to win a special gift donated by one of our Downtown Highland businesses.
And because it wouldn’t be Ladies Night Out without a little something from us, every guest will receive a special holiday gift from the Downtown Highland DDA.
From there, head out and explore participating downtown businesses for:
- Special Ladies Night Out promotions, giveaways and freebies
- Refreshments and holiday treats along the way
- A larger-than-life gnome photo opportunity
- Little touches of Scandinavian-inspired holiday fun
- Gnome-themed surprises meant to be shared
- Hidden gnomes waiting to be discovered throughout downtown
And one little piece of advice from us…
Keep an especially close eye out for something golden.
There may be a bit more gnome-made mischief hiding around Downtown Highland than we’re ready to reveal just yet.

VENDOR MARKET
Shop a curated selection of locally made goods at our Ladies Night Out Vendor Market!
This smaller, boutique-style market features approximately 12 carefully selected local vendors, chosen to offer a diverse mix of handmade goods, gifts, and unique finds. Keeping the market intentionally small allows us to offer guests plenty of variety while giving each participating vendor a chance to shine.
Interested in joining us? Vendor space is limited, and a small participation fee applies. Vendors are selected to create a well-rounded market with minimal duplication between products.
Apply here to participate before Friday, October 16, 2026. Selected Applicants will be notified on Monday, October 19, 2026.
